EANL-European Association for Neuroscience and Law
On September 16, 2010 legal scholars, experts in the field of neuroscience and behavioural genetics, ethicists, psychologists and media representatives met in Pavia and agreed on instituting a consortium to examin the emerging use of neuroscience in legal setting: the European Association for Neuroscience and Law (EANL).
Participants were from Italy, Belgium, Germany, The Netherlands, UK, Spain, USA and Australia.
The EANL had a first provisional Board of National Representatives: Amedeo Santosuosso, Barbara Bottalico, Paul Catley, Lisa Claydon, Katy De Kogel, Nita Farahany, Tade Mathias Spranger, Nicole A. Vincent, Stephen Morse.
Currently the EANL is hosted by the European Center for Law, Science and New Technologies, University of Pavia and the Neuroscience and Society Lab, Brain and Behavioral Sciences Department, University of Pavia. It has members from many different european conutries and affiliated members from USA and Canada.
